Photographer's Story
In my Junior year of high school at the Baltimore School for the Arts, I was first introduced into the world of photography. I started off with traditional black and white photography, shooting buildings, and trees around the Baltimore City area. Thanks to my teacher and friend, Merlyn Rosenberg, I decided to continue my education in photography in my senior year of high school.
In my senior year of high school, i picked up a digital camera and began to shoot images of the "filthy" streets of Baltimore. At the time, I thought I was just capturing the ruins of the city I live in. Thanks to the encouragement from my teacher, peers and friends, I was able to see that I was photographing the city in it's own new light. This has inspired me to continue shooting the things other people prefer to look away from.
The photo to the left is called "Twin Towers" . It is an image of two run down houses in Baltimore and their reflections caught on the roof of a car.
This photo has been recently sold for $100.
