"My own little distortions of Reality"
Many of these paintings come from my senior Painting 2 class. During this class, I pretty much had free will to paint whatever I wanted. Initially, my goal was to paint characters from the stories I wrote, but making them look breathable. This was a task I found to be hard, and my initial ideal evolved into doing portraits of myself looking like my characters. Or myself interacting with my characters in ways that give them complete control.
I ended up only painting really one of those characters from my book to be in my image. Enjoy!
Other paintings come from my junior year of high school. These include quick studies and long term paintings of a nude female model and some self portraits with no distortions.
